Small Molecule Clearance
The clearflux is designed to remove small and middle molecules to a level euivalent to that of first use
Single use vs Reuse
CLEARFLUX ADVANTAGES - SUMMARY
Better patient care with CLEARFLUX:
CLEARFLUX recovers the dialyzer's filtration function equivalent to that of a new dialyzer *** no reduction in urea clearance;
CLEARFLUX maintains Total Cell Volume (TCV) between 95%-100%;
CLEARFLUX recovers/maintains middle solute clearance equivalent to that of a new dialyzer *** no reduction in Beta-2-microglobulin clearance after reprocessing
CLEARFLUX preserves albumin equivalent to that of a new dialyzer, *****, less chance for hypotension (low blood pressure)
Reduced costs with CLEARFLUX
1. CLEARFLUX does not require manual header cleaning or pre-cleaning to remove gross blood contaminants and thus reduces pre-cleaning labor costs
2. CLEARFLUX reduces additional Peracetic acid (used in the cleaning steps) costs , compared to the Renatron®
3. CLEARFLUX reduces additional RO water costs
4. CLEARFLUX reduces the overall direct average cost of reprocessing
5. CLEARFLUX reduces the indirect average cost of reprocessing - estimated as high as an additional $3.00 for a total savings (direct and indirect)
6. CLEARFLUX Eliminates the need to purchase any separate equipment to assist in pre-cleaning. Collectively, these costs can be as high as $3.00 per dialyzer.
7. CLEARFLUX dramatically reduces the cost of disposition of waste as the volume of dialyzers plummets. The CLEARFLUX would significantly reduce solid waste.

----Establish clinical superiority----
At least 40 uses with no reduction in efficacy
Kt/v over 1.4 always; restores TCV)
Clearance of middle molecules (B22M = to first use)
Automated Header Cleaning

Erythropoetin (epo)
the clearflux has the potential to reduce the use of Erythropoetin (epo) due to the amazing clearance fo the dialyzers hollow fibers.
